Do you know Vauxhall? Tjhe UK Opel? Vauxhall Carlton as the UK Opel Omega?
There's something to explain??????
I still don't understand...what has AR in common with Vauxhall?Fiat provides opel with 1.3/1.9multijet and Grande Punto's platform....nothing in common with AR.

No, I hate Ferrari as Alfista, and I hate it overall because had, in Fiat system, the importance that surely should have Alfa with better results for the brand and for all us users.
I don't hate Ferrari because it is AR's daughter....like a father can never hate his child. But i respect more Fiat's and Maserati's history. Then i cannot understand why some alfisti hate Fiat.It is true that when AR was passed to Fiat there was a rivality between those companies and many AR plants were destroyed.....Fiat and Alfa Romeo hated each other.....but before AR was sold to Fiat it was not Fiat's fault that AR broke up.....politicians and bad workers were responsible for that situation....and you must blame them not Fiat and what Fiat did after purchasing AR....and ofcource we cannot delete Fiat's great history because of what it did to Alfa Romeo in 80/90es (bad managment). So everything started from government connection between workers and state in late 70es before Fiat get involved?then people who were in head of AR from 70es until 1986 didn?t have the right experience/knowledge to inspire and to lead.Don?t forget that AR was many years national company and their workers had bad attidute sth that IRI wanted cause of their votes??Unfortunately some workers continue working with the same attitude and low productivity and the result is as we know it after fiat takeover?..so they were fired from Luca and I don?t care if this sounds tough but they get what they deserved!I don?t present everything like a fairy tale but as things happened and I don?t afford injustice, preconception and imprecision!

And more of the "mediocre" (so you own a less than mediocre coup?, considering the GT is 147 based!) 156?
Ofcource why not to admit that!...but the GT has by far has a more rigid body then the 156, although the
suspension setup is basically 156/147 derived with some minor rate
changes the cars under the skin are the same, the GT has the best setup
from that family.

The successfull and so beloved, until 1 year ago, 156? But please....... eh?!?!? The best car in segment, and benchmark and the other blablablabla by Taurus factory? Something we had to see since alfetta??????????? 159 a masterpiece, yes, the press admitted...
159 has nothing to do with 156 but in philosophy it is compared with 166.A sport/luxury sedan not a small mediocore sport sedan that was 156 with all its negatives. I remind that all these years alfisti complained that 156 has bad roll quality/aerodynamic noises/suspension noises and very often it oversteered.159 has solved all these problems and maintaines the same quick steering wheel but due to its bigger dimensions it is inferior in suppleness?also cause of its best roll quality in its category it does not transfers 100% of what is happening in the road like 156 did?.this is true but for god shake decide once?Gentlemen do you want the best roll quality as all these years you were moaning?....if so,then you can?t transfer all the rubs of the road in the steering wheel!..face the reality and then ask for more??you cant have everything as all current cars are more civilized. But also why don?t you compare 159 with their real competitors which are e50,a4,lexus Is?..?159 is a the best Alfa since alfetta cause it has been developed without any compromise like 75/156/155 did.
Jeremy Clarkson
This is one of those cars that?s demonstrably and appreciably better than any other mid-range four-door family saloon.
In buying & owning sector 159 is the only European car that offers 3 years assurance and 3 years free service.Companies of leasing & renting say that 159?s residual value has increased compared to that of 156?.20% in Italy,10% Germany/Spain/France.Fiat Group according to Swiss Union of Banks will be the most profitable European carmaker of 2006.Stock value has been doubled and nowadays Fiat Group has greater capitalization from Ford Motor co and Gm corp.
Sales have nothing to do if 159 is a better product than the competition but you asking me about sales...so....
You forget production stop and all the other delays that occured cause of the increased quality control and as a result we had deliveries in many cases after 4-6 months. It is early to speak about 159 sales.....don't forget also the delay of 159's presentation in many Eu countries and Sportwagon was just introduced some months ago.According to predictions 1/3 of 159 will be sold in Italy and this percentage will be 25% (of all 159 in italy) after the launch of 159 in Usa....their total predictions for 2006 is 85000 159 and 120000 for 2007.Brera is already a sales blockbuster in it?s category and with the upcoming version it will dominate. For example in Austria Brera is ahead of CLK,SLK,Z4?.same for Sweden?in France only CLK is ahead of Brera (for about 9-10 cars) and that?s because new Spider is not yet available?.enough to say that they were sold in May (France) 131 Brera vs 33 Z4 Coupe & roadster....As for 159?in June it had in Europe same sales with 156?s best month?and Sportwagon is not in full production yet!159 has already 20% better residual value than 156 (which means 54%) and in the next 4 years it will reach the top 65% when Bmw E90 won't overcome 60% due to parallel imports.

If a Mercedes or Audi change the shape of their door handles, or BMW or Porsche introduce some re-designed wheels, the occasion makes front cover news for Autocar?..yet when Alfa introduces a significant new model range (159/Brera/Spider), they barely merit a single page!!They are very anti-Alfa generally...Autocar is considered in UK like the rubbish newspaper the sun. All magazines have sponsors and who do you think has the biggest budget for sponsorship ? German manufacturers and definitely not Alfa Romeo!German car industry provenly is sponsoring lot of mags?.mags that associate with german motor presse & german bild are?? autobild AMS(de) AMS(gr) autotriti(gr) quattroruote(it) l'automobile(fr) autopista(es) what car(uk) etc.)...all german mags and Italian mags auto & automobilismo...
Car mags in Italy?
Main sponsors
Automobilismo-->BmwItalia,Vag (only its special versions are worth reading)
Auto-->BmwItalia
Quattroruote-->Vag, DaimlerChrysler Italia.Quattroruote was the most important mag of Modus but when it passed to Tedeschini and made the agreement with german motor presse lost its objectivity.
All france magazines (except l'automobile that belongs to german motor-presse),danish bil magasinet, all NL mags and UK (top gear & evo) are objective
